Description
Analysis II is the second and last part of an introduction to analysis which is based on the author's undergraduate courses entitled Analysis I, II, and III, and on the more advanced course entitled Tensoranalysis, at Heidelberg.
The book comprises materials for a four-semester course, and can be used as a textbook. Topics covered include: Elements of functional analysis, differentiation in Banach spaces, the fundamental existence theorems in analysis, ordinary differential equations, Lebesgue's theory of integration, tensor analysis, and the theory of submanifolds in semi-Riemannian spaces.
Analysis II is intended for graduate students or for very motivated undergraduates who wish to pursue studies in the fields of Mathematics or Physics.
