Algorithm Description

This algorithm computes the conformal mapping using least square method.

Input and output

  • The input is a topological disk with two special vertices.
  • The output is the conformal parameterization represented as the uv coordinates of vertices.

Command

   LSCM.exe face.nf50k.m face.nf50k.uv.m
   The output is
   face.nf50k.uv.m

Computational Stability

   The computation is very stable and fast.

Example

   The input mesh has 50k faces. The computational time is less than 5 seconds on a PC with 3.0 GB of RAM, 3.60 GHz CPU. The data set and the source can be downloaded.
